Ancient Titan

The goal for this character was to create a hero/boss type of character that would be found in a game, complete with vfx and animation to be ready for use in a project.

Unity HDRP was the engine and pipeline I was targeting, and I created the electricity and energy source shader with shader graph. For the electricity, I created four spaced out procedural bolts that has a mask cut out different areas of the map so the lightning isn't on constantly across the character.

The electricity connects the limbs so no matter where they go in the animation it needs to stay connected, so I created a collection of cards where I wanted the electricity to go and skinned them between two joints and offset their shells in four different vertical lanes so that different details showed up at different times for a nice variety.
